State of Kuwait Prioritizes Technological Advancements, Affirms Ahmadi Governor


Ahmadi: Ahmadi Governor Sheikh Humoud Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah has affirmed the State of Kuwait’s interest in advancing the fields of computing, artificial intelligence, and other technological sectors. In remarks to KUNA during the final session of the Kuwaiti Robotics Olympic 2025, Sheikh Humoud emphasized the importance of maintaining alignment with technological changes and developments to promote sustainable growth across various domains.



According to Kuwait News Agency, Sheikh Humoud highlighted the necessity of equipping the younger generation with skills to devise solutions through information technology. This approach aims to achieve sustainable development and enhance the quality of life. Olympic organizer Hamida Rhaimi noted that preparations for the event began in January of last year, with involvement from 100 countries. Four teams have qualified for the Olympic finals in Singapore, while 11 teams are set to participate in regional competitions.



Rhaimi expressed appreciation for the support from entities such as the Kuwait Oil Company, Sabah Al-Ahmad Giftedness and Creativity Center, the American University for the Middle East, the Public Authority for the Youth, and 180 participating schools. The activity successfully selected competitive teams for the event.
