KUWAIT: The visiting South Sudan Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management, Hon. Albino Akol Atak, has expressed admiration for Kuwait's ongoing efforts to assist nations in distress globally. Emerging from a meeting with Khaled Al-Meghames, Chairman of the Kuwait Red Crescent Society (KRCS), the Minister emphasized Kuwait's prominent role in delivering relief services across many countries. According to Kuwait News Agency, the Minister conveyed his gratitude towards KRCS's support for African nations. He highlighted the organization's persistent presence at the forefront of humanitarian efforts, providing essential aid to those in need. During the meeting, Al-Meghames welcomed the South Sudan official and provided insights into KRCS's local and international humanitarian initiatives. The discussion underscored Kuwait's commitment to alleviating the suffering of affected populations, reaffirming its dedication to humanitarian principles. The KRCS chairman also addressed the potential dispatch of relief aid to South Sudan, which is currently facing severe climatic challenges.
