South Africa Initiates Global Movement to Challenge Israeli Apartheid Policy.

Pretoria: The Anti-Apartheid Committee in South Africa has announced the formation of a global movement aimed at combating the apartheid policies practiced by the Israeli occupation in the Palestinian territories. This announcement was made during a conference held in Pretoria, marking a significant stance by South Africa against what it terms as apartheid and genocide against the Palestinian people. According to Kuwait News Agency, the conference's closing statement emphasized South Africa's commitment to the global struggle against racism and colonialism. The statement highlighted that the establishment of the Anti-Apartheid Movement in occupied Palestine is inspired by South Africa's own legacy of fighting apartheid. It aims to mobilize a wide coalition to oppose apartheid in Palestine and advocate for the complete isolation of the Israeli occupation. Pastor Frank Chikane, head of the steering committee of the anti-apartheid movement, expressed that the South African government is taking a stand against what it describes as genocidal practices in the Gaza Strip and West Bank. Chikane emphasized the necessity of stopping these practices and reiterated South Africa's belief in the justice of the Palestinian cause. He declared that South Africa will stand by any group facing injustice, including the Palestinians, and called for an end to the genocide and impunity associated with the occupation. The conference concluded with a demand for accountability, justice, and freedom from apartheid.
