Sulaibiya Industrial Area: Minister of Social Affairs and Family and Childhood Affairs Dr. Amthal Al-Huwaila inaugurated a new outlet for Kuwaiti agricultural products to support Kuwaiti farmers and help market their products. The outlet, located in the Sulaibiya Industrial Area, spans 5,000 square meters and operates around the clock.
According to Kuwait News Agency, the minister highlighted that this development is a significant step to facilitate the marketing of agricultural products and ensure their delivery to consumers in high quality. The outlet's strategic location on the Sixth Ring Road provides easy access for farmers' vehicles and cooperative societies, enhancing the distribution efficiency of agricultural goods.
The facility employs an automated system with barcodes to record data such as quantity, quality grade, weight, and the farm's unique number, which boosts operational efficiency and minimizes waste. The outlet also adheres to stringent safety and security standards, being equipped with surveillance cameras, a permanent security staff, and emergency exits that comply with the General Fire Department's requirements.
Dr. Al-Huwaila commended the efforts involved in realizing this project, emphasizing that the outlet's opening strengthens cooperation between the Kuwaiti Farmers Union and cooperative societies. It represents an important step towards achieving sustainable development and food security in the region.
