Security Operations Result in Killing of 6 Militants in Northern Pakistan

Peshawar: At least six militants were killed in two separate operations by security forces in Pakistan's northern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) province bordering Afghanistan, said the military on Monday. According to Kuwait News Agency, security forces conducted an intelligence-based operation on the reported presence of militants in the general area of Razmak in North Waziristan tribal district in KPK. During this operation, the troops effectively engaged the militants' location, resulting in the deaths of five militants. Moreover, in another intelligence-based operation in the South Waziristan tribal district, the troops effectively neutralized a militant ringleader, Zabi Ullah. He was actively involved in numerous terrorist activities against security forces as well as in the targeted killing of civilians. Zabi Ullah was highly wanted by the law enforcement agencies. An operation is currently being conducted to eliminate any other militants found in these areas, as the security forces of Pakistan remain det ermined to eradicate terrorism from the country, said ISPR.
