Saudi Retina Symposium Opens in Jeddah with International Participation

Jeddah: Governor of Jeddah Prince Saud bin Jalawi inaugurated the Saudi Retina Symposium today, attended by a distinguished group of physicians and specialists in retinal medicine and surgery from within the Kingdom and abroad. The conference runs from February 5 to 7 at the Jeddah Hilton Hotel.

According to Saudi Press Agency, President of the conference Dr. Abdullah Alqahtani highlighted the event's importance, noting the participation of more than 45 international speakers and over 65 regional and local experts. He emphasized the conference's role in supporting the healthcare sector, promoting scientific exchange, and keeping pace with medical advancements to enhance patient care.

The three-day conference features scientific sessions, training workshops, and interactive discussions led by local and international experts, alongside an exhibition showcasing the latest technologies and treatments for retinal diseases.

It underscores the Kingdom's efforts to strengthen its position as a regional center for specialized medical conferences, in line with Vision 2030 goals for healthcare development and scientific research.
