Saudi Arabia’s Table Egg Production Exceeds 8.4 Billion in 2024, Environment Ministry Reports

Riyadh: The Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture stressed that 82% of the Kingdom's table egg production is covered by the Saudi Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) quality label, reflecting producers' commitment to applying the highest standards of quality and food safety, ensuring that local products comply with national and international standard specifications, and enhancing consumer confidence.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the ministry added that table egg production in 2024 exceeded 8.4 billion eggs, marking an increase of 6.4% compared to 2023. Riyadh Region ranked first, producing around 3.2 billion eggs, followed by Makkah Region with 1.5 billion eggs, and Eastern Region with approximately 1.1 billion eggs.

Through expanding the application of the accredited Saudi GAP quality label, the ministry seeks to encourage compliance with approved standards and enhance consumer trust in local products. Saudi GAP is one of the ministry's initiatives aimed at supporting good agricultural practices, improving the quality of plant and animal production, and encouraging producers to adhere to the highest safety and quality standards.
