Kuwait city: The Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences (KFAS)'s Sabah Al-Ahmad Center for Giftedness and Creativity (SACGC) has announced that five of its teams have qualified to participate in the international Robotex competition, to be held in Estonia this December, after securing victories in the national Robotex competition.
According to Kuwait News Agency, the center highlighted that the annual international Robotex competition in Estonia is among the largest and most prestigious robotics events globally. Launched 25 years ago, it remains a central hub for innovation and technology. The national competition was held at the American University of the Middle East (AUM), and the successful teams will compete in Estonia on December 5 and 6, alongside participants from across the world.
The statement further detailed the achievements of the winning teams. In the Sumo competition category (under 14 years old), the Al-Saif team, comprising Saud Al-Khanna and Abdulwahab Al-Salal, secured first place. The Al-Sour team, with members Ghada Al-Anzi and Lulwah Al-Ajmi, earned second place, while the Al-Sinafi team, consisting of Ali Al-Mumin and Abdulaziz Al-Sayigh, took third place.
In the Line-Following competition (under 14 years old), the Kafu team, comprised of Mohammad Al-Mutairi and Saud Al-Ajmi, achieved first place, and the Al-Dana team, with Amna Abdullah and Aseel Al-Wasmi, secured second place.
The center expressed its congratulations to the five qualifying teams, wishing them success in representing Kuwait and achieving commendable results in the Robotex International Competition. It also reaffirmed its ongoing support for young people and the development of their skills in robotics and artificial intelligence, emphasizing the importance of investing in national talent to build an innovative generation capable of competing globally.
