Sabah Al-Ahmad Center Announces 2025 Summer Programs for Kuwaiti Students

Kuwait City: Sabah Al-Ahmad Center for Giftedness and Creativity (SACGC), a part of the Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences (KFAS), has unveiled plans to launch a range of scientific and technological programs targeted for the summer of 2025. These programs aim to engage Kuwaiti students in fields such as innovation, engineering, medicine, digital technology, and artificial intelligence.

According to Kuwait News Agency, the center released a statement detailing that the offered programs will be managed through its "Talent, Technological Development, and Innovation" departments. These initiatives include enrichment courses and specialized competitions, with registration available via the center's social media account @sacgc_kw.

The Talent Department is set to offer the Pre-University Research Enrichment (PRE) Program specifically for 10th and 11th-grade students in collaboration with Kuwait University from August 9 to 18. This program is designed to help students align their interests with potential university majors in scientific and engineering fields. Additionally, a medical program will educate students on the basics of medical sciences through interactive lectures and workshops, while an engineering initiative will focus on electrical, civil, and mechanical disciplines to bolster analytical and problem-solving skills. A training program for Kuwaiti chemistry teachers, in partnership with National Taiwan University, will prepare them for the International Chemistry Olympiad (IChO), with sessions scheduled for August and registration starting in July.

The Technology Development Department plans to organize interactive courses and competitions at various locations, including the Talent Academy in Sawaber, Jahra, and Ahmadi. These events will feature a competition called "A Journey in Kuwait - Programming Knights," along with drone, line-following robot, and sumo robot competitions. A summer festival will also offer courses in advanced programming, mechanical engineering, and construction challenges.

The Innovation Department is preparing to launch the "Kuwait Semiconductor Program 2025" in partnership with Minghsin University of Science and Technology (MUST) in Taiwan, with support from the Taipei Commercial Representative Office. Scheduled from August 24 to September 6, this program is designed for engineers and innovators interested in the semiconductor sector, offering hands-on training and visits to advanced industrial facilities. Additionally, the department will host the "San Francisco Scientific and Technological Innovation Acceleration Program 2025" in Silicon Valley, US, from November 9 to 22. This initiative aims to foster Kuwait-based innovations in science and artificial intelligence through workshops, global tech company visits, project pitching training, and networking with investors and innovation experts.
