Riyadh’s Common Ground Festival Highlights Saudi-Chinese Cultural Convergence

Riyadh: The Common Ground Festival, currently being held in Riyadh, is offering a rich cultural experience that reflects the depth of Chinese civilization and the diversity of its heritage, while highlighting points of convergence with Saudi culture through shared values rooted in identity and tradition. The festival contributes to strengthening human connections by presenting culture as a universal language.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the heritage of both countries comes together to form a bridge of communication and intellectual enrichment for visitors at the festival, which is being hosted at Malfa Hall in the non-profit Mohammed bin Salman Nonprofit City (Misk City), Riyadh. The third edition of the festival, which is dedicated to China, coincides with the Saudi-Chinese Year of Culture 2025 and aims to deepen intercultural dialogue and promote cultural exchange between the two nations.

Organized by the Ministry of Culture, the festival provides a comprehensive cultural experience that highlights the depth of Chinese civilization and the diversity of its cultural heritage, while also showcasing its intersections with Saudi culture. This reflects the ministry's commitment to building bridges of cultural communication, strengthening the Kingdom's cultural presence regionally and internationally, and reinforcing its role as an active hub for global cultural dialogue, in line with the objectives of the National Culture Strategy under Saudi Vision 2030.

The festival targets a wide range of audiences, including families, individuals, tourists, international visitors, official delegations, and cultural sector professionals, through an integrated program that includes an art exhibition promoting human connection through culture as a shared global language.
