Madinah: The Saudi Red Crescent Authority's ambulance and volunteer teams in Madinah saved the life of a 63-year-old Thai pilgrim who suffered cardiac and respiratory arrest near the Prophet's Mosque yesterday. The authority reported that it received an emergency call at 8:08 PM regarding a fainting incident. Field teams arrived at the scene within one minute, at 8:09 PM, a record response time that reflects their high level of readiness and swift operational efficiency.

According to Saudi Press Agency, upon arrival, medical personnel confirmed that the pilgrim was experiencing cardiac and respiratory arrest. Approved emergency medical protocols were activated, cardiopulmonary resuscitation was initiated, and an additional support team was dispatched.

Due to the swift and professional response, the pilgrim's pulse was restored, after which he was transferred to the hospital for further care. This successful rescue highlights the strong coordination and preparedness of the ambulance and volunteer teams within the vicinity of the Prophet's Mosque and underscores the critical importance of prompt reporting and rapid response in emergencies.
