Radioactive Contamination Contained Within Natanz Nuclear Facility: Iran

Tehran: Radioactive and chemical contamination has been detected inside Iran's Natanz nuclear facility, but it has not spread beyond the site. The Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) reported the incident following multiple missile strikes on the facility early Friday.

According to Kuwait News Agency, AEOI spokesman Behrouz Kamalvandi informed local media that the contamination was confined to the Natanz site, situated in the central province of Isfahan, approximately 300 kilometers south of Tehran. Kamalvandi emphasized that there is no cause for concern as the radioactive material did not extend beyond the facility's perimeter.

The missile attacks resulted in a fire, which was successfully subdued, causing some material damage but no human casualties. The Iranian official assured that measures are being taken to address the situation and prevent any further incidents.
