Qatar’s Security and Regional Stability Highlighted at Emergency Summit

Kuwait city: The security of Qatar was emphasized as a fundamental pillar and integral part of the broader security framework of Arab and Islamic nations, according to a statement by the Representative of His Highness the Amir.

According to Kuwait News Agency, the Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), Jasem Al-Budaiwi, affirmed that the extraordinary session of the GCC Supreme Council, along with the Emergency Arab-Islamic Summit, underscored the significant standing that Qatar enjoys within the region. This meeting reflected the unity and strength of the member states in addressing pressing regional security issues.

In a related development, Majed Al-Ansari, Advisor to the Qatari Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, and official Spokesperson for the Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs, noted that Arab and Muslim leaders convened in Doha to present a unified stance against what was described as the treacherous Israeli aggression against the State of Qatar. This gathering aimed to consolidate regional efforts to address the challenges and threats faced by Qatar and the broader region.

Meanwhile, other international developments included Kuwait's agreement with the IAEA, as part of a strategic technical cooperation plan for the years 2026-2035, and the UN's condemnation of the escalating Israeli attacks in Gaza City. Additionally, the Global Sumud Flotilla, carrying critical aid to Gaza, embarked on its final route from Tunisia, and Mexico's Ambassador to Kuwait acknowledged the continuous development of bilateral relations between the two nations in economic and political spheres.
