Arab Parliament Endorses Outcomes of Emergency Summit in Doha

Doha: President of the Arab Parliament Mohammad Al-Yamahi welcomed on Monday the outcomes of the Emergency Arab-Islamic summit, held in the Qatari capital Doha. Al-Yamahi received an invitation from the Qatari Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani to take part in the summit, the Arab Parliament said in a statement.

According to Kuwait News Agency, the summit embodied the unified Arab and Islamic condemnation of the aggression carried out by the Israeli occupation forces against Qatar, as well as the rejection of the war waged against the Palestinian people for two years, Al-Yamahi stated. He appreciated the support expressed in the final communiqu© for Qatar and the solidarity affirmed against any threat to its security, stability, and sovereignty.

The summit represented a unified voice of the Arab and Islamic worlds against the actions of the occupation forces and called on the international community to take urgent action to end the occupation's crimes, he added. Al-Yamahi stressed that the Arab Parliament will continue its efforts in international parliamentary forums to promote the summit's outcomes, in support of the just causes of the Arab and Islamic nations.
