Doha: Qatari Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammad bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani condemned in the strongest terms the attack on Qatar's sovereignty by the Iranian Revolutionary Guard's bombing of Al-Udeid Air Base yesterday. This declaration was made during a joint press conference with Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam in the Qatari capital, Doha.
According to Kuwait News Agency, Sheikh Mohammad condemned the attack by the neighboring country, emphasizing Qatar's reliance on principles of good neighborliness and transparency in its relations. He highlighted Qatar's consistent condemnation of Israeli attacks on Iran, stating that the assault on Qatar is an unacceptable act that contradicts ongoing Qatari efforts to halt Israeli aggression against Iran and stabilize the region.
Sheikh Mohammad praised the Qatari Armed Forces for their actions in repelling the attacks and expressed gratitude to allied countries for their solidarity and rejection of the attack. He also mentioned that an extraordinary ministerial meeting, requested by the State of Kuwait, will be held in Doha to address this critical development in the region.
