Pakistani Ambassador Commends Kuwait’s Peace Efforts and Economic Ties

Kuwait City: Pakistani Ambassador in Kuwait Dr. Zafar Iqbal has praised Kuwait's commitment to fostering regional and international peace. He highlighted Kuwait's approach of promoting restraint, dialogue, and peaceful resolutions, emphasizing Pakistan's support for these efforts to maintain regional stability.

According to Kuwait News Agency, the ambassador's remarks came during a National Day celebration at the Pakistani Embassy. The event saw attendance from Kuwaiti Minister of Commerce and Industry Khalifa Al-Ajeel, various chiefs of diplomatic missions, and representatives from international organizations.

Dr. Iqbal acknowledged Kuwait's significant role in Pakistan's development, citing the robust people-to-people connections and the expanding diplomatic and economic ties between the two nations. He noted that while bilateral trade and investment relations are progressing, there remains significant untapped potential. He identified sectors such as energy, infrastructure, agriculture, IT, and tourism in Pakistan as promising opportunities for Kuwaiti investors.

Additionally, the ambassador praised the contribution of Pakistan's skilled workforce in Kuwait, particularly in the construction and services sectors. He highlighted that this workforce continues to be an essential link between the two countries, fostering mutual growth and collaboration.
