Kuwait City: Qatar on Wednesday welcomed ongoing diplomatic efforts to resolve the Russian-Ukrainian crisis, particularly the agreement reached during a recent phone call between U.S. President Donald Trump and his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin.
According to Kuwait News Agency, the Qatari Foreign Ministry issued a press release expressing hope that these efforts could ultimately lead to a comprehensive and sustainable resolution of the crisis.
The press release reaffirmed Qatar's call for a peaceful resolution, emphasizing that dialogue remains the best means of addressing regional and international crises and conflicts.
Russian officials announced on Tuesday that President Putin had backed Trump's suggestion to immediately halt attacks "on all energy and infrastructure" in Ukraine.
