Beirut: Qatar on Saturday condemned the attack on the convoy of the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) near Beirut Airport as an obvious breach of international law. In a press release, the Qatari Foreign Ministry expressed firm opposition to any attacks on peacekeeping forces, which are crucial in ensuring security and stability in Lebanon. The ministry called on Lebanese authorities to conduct an immediate investigation and bring those responsible to accountability.
According to Kuwait News Agency, the Qatari Foreign Ministry also voiced Qatar's full solidarity with Lebanon in its efforts to safeguard its security and stability. It reiterated its support for UNIFIL's mission in carrying out its duties in line with relevant UN resolutions.
