Hamas Transfers Three Israeli Occupation Prisoners to ICRC

Khan Younis: The Palestinian Resistance Movement, Hamas, has transferred three Israeli occupation prisoners to the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) as part of the sixth prisoner swap under a ceasefire agreement initiated last month.

According to Kuwait News Agency, the prisoners, identified as American-Israeli Sagui Dekel-Chen, Russian-Israeli Alexandre Troufanov, and Argentinian-Israeli Iair Horn, were released in Khan Younis, located in southern Gaza. This exchange is part of ongoing efforts to implement the terms of the ceasefire deal between Hamas and the Israeli occupation.

In exchange for the release of the Israeli prisoners, the Israeli occupation is set to release 369 Palestinian prisoners. This group includes 10 individuals who will be sent to the West Bank, one to Jerusalem, 333 to the Gaza Strip, and 25 who are scheduled for deportation.

Last month, Hamas agreed to release a total of 33 Israeli occupation prisoners, including women, children, and individuals who are sick, wounded, or older, in exchange for hundreds of Palestinian prisoners and detainees. This agreement is part of a six-week ceasefire deal aimed at reducing hostilities and facilitating prisoner swaps between the two sides.
