Qatar Amir Expresses Gratitude for GCC Support Against Iran’s Attack

Doha: Qatar's Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad expressed his appreciation and gratitude to his fellow Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) leaders for their unwavering support for Qatar and their condemnation of Iran's attack on Al-Udeid airbase.

According to Kuwait News Agency, this statement came during Sheikh Tamim's meeting at Lusail Palace with the foreign ministers of the GCC countries. The ministers were visiting Doha to attend the 49th extraordinary meeting of the GCC Ministerial Council. The statement from the Qatari Amiri Diwan highlighted the Amir's gratitude to the GCC leaders for their support and their condemnation of the Iranian attack, which he deemed a blatant violation of Qatar's sovereignty and international law.

The GCC foreign ministers reiterated their countries' solidarity with Qatar, emphasizing that the attack was a clear violation of Qatar's sovereignty and posed a direct threat to the security of all GCC states. The meeting also included discussions aimed at strengthening joint Gulf cooperation and exchanging views on key regional and international developments.
