Qatar Amir and Lebanese Prime Minister Discuss Regional Developments and Mutual Interests

Doha: Qatar Amir Tamim bin Hamad and visiting Lebanese Prime Minister Dr. Nawaf Salam met in Doha to discuss recent regional developments and issues of mutual interest.

According to Kuwait News Agency, Lebanese Prime Minister Salam expressed strong condemnation of the Iranian attack against Al-Udeid Air Base, labeling it a violation of Qatar's sovereignty, the UN Charter, and international law. He emphasized Lebanon's firm refusal of actions threatening Qatar and its residents.

Salam also conveyed gratitude for Qatar's support to Lebanon and its citizens. Meanwhile, Qatar's Amir expressed appreciation for Prime Minister Salam's sincere sentiments, highlighting the robust ties between the two nations.

The discussions also covered ways to enhance bilateral relations and address regional and international issues of significance.
