Luxembourg: Kuwait Petroleum International (Q8) commenced operations on Tuesday at two of Europe's largest fuel stations, situated on a highway in Luxembourg's Berchem.
According to Kuwait News Agency, Q8 had earlier secured the bid for these stations, marking a significant milestone for the company this year.
This development increases the number of fuel stations operated by Q8 to 40 across Luxembourg, underscoring its commitment to delivering comprehensive and eco-friendly services throughout Europe. Q8's CEO, Shafy Al-Ajmy, emphasized this venture as a crucial step in achieving strategic goals and expanding the company's global footprint through innovative solutions tailored to meet customer demand.
With full operational control over the stations, Q8 plans to enhance and modernize operations, reflecting its brand identity. The stations are equipped with advanced solutions, improved infrastructure for electric vehicle charging stations, and renewable diesel for heavy vehicles.
Earlier in the day, an opening ceremony was held, attended by top officials such as Minister of Economy, SMEs, Energy and Tourism, Lex Delles, trade partners, company management, and Kuwaiti Ambassador to Belgium and Luxembourg, Nawaf Al-Enezi.
Kuwait Petroleum International, established in 1983 as a subsidiary of Kuwait Petroleum Corporation, manages over 4,800 fuel stations and road services throughout Europe. Additionally, Q8 supplies jet fuel to more than 82 airports and manufactures one of the highest quality engine fuels globally.
