Damascus: Syrian President Ahmad Al-Sharaa announced that an announcement will be made in the coming days about a preparatory committee for the National Dialogue Conference, which will bring together all sectors of the Syrian people. In his first speech, President Al-Sharaa announced the formation of a transitional government that "reflects the diversity of Syria, its men, women, and youth" and works to build Syria's new institutions until free and fair elections are held. According to Kuwait News Agency, following the decision to dissolve the Syrian People's Assembly, a preparatory committee will be formed to choose a mini-legislature to help with the transitional period. He disclosed that a constitutional declaration will be released to be the legal reference for the transitional period, indicating that priorities have been set for the next phase, with the forefront being achieving civil peace, and prosecuting criminals who committed massacres and crimes against the Syrian people. President Al-Sharaa also stated that ensuring the unity of Syrian territories and imposing sovereignty under one authority is a priority. Additionally, building strong state institutions without corruption or nepotism is emphasized, alongside laying down the foundations of the economy to restore Syria's regional and international status, and to provide work opportunities and improve living conditions.
