PM: China Ready to Join Kuwait for Steady Development of Ties

Beijing: Chinese Prime Minister Li Qiang announced that China is prepared to partner with Kuwait in advancing the steady development of their bilateral relations. Li made this statement during his meeting with His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, who was representing His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah. The meeting took place on the sidelines of the ASEAN-GCC-China Summit. According to Kuwait News Agency, bilateral relations between China and Kuwait have consistently developed positively since their establishment over fifty years ago. In recent years, under the strategic guidance of Chinese President Xi Jinping and His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, these relations have progressed rapidly, yielding fruitful results in practical cooperation. Li emphasized China's readiness to work with Kuwait to strengthen political mutual trust and deepen mutually beneficial cooperation, aiming for in-depth and substantive development of their bilateral relations. He noted the strong economic complementarity between the two nations and the broad prospects for cooperation. China is eager to align the Belt and Road Initiative with Kuwait Vision 2035, expanding the scope of cooperation and accelerating major cooperative projects. Li highlighted the potential for deepening cooperation in areas such as energy, investment, green economy, digital economy, and artificial intelligence, opening new avenues for win-win cooperation that contribute to the development and revitalization of both countries. Li also proposed enhancing collaboration in education and tourism to further personnel exchanges and foster deeper friendships between the peoples of China and Kuwait.
