Kuwait city: The Kuwaiti Public Authority for Youth, in cooperation with the world's largest aerospace company Boeing and US technology giant Meta, concluded an entrepreneurship program by selecting five startup projects to support them.
According to Kuwait News Agency, the program, organized by the Kuwait Digital Startup Campus (KDSC), featured a competition at the Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Cultural Center. Twenty young men and women competed to present their ideas and projects, vying for a prize that included a trip to London, United Kingdom. The trip aims to help them meet entrepreneurs, develop their projects, and convince investors to support their initiatives.
Dr. Musaed Al-Kuraibani, Acting Deputy Director General for Projects at the Public Authority for Youth, noted in a press statement that the competition underscores the Authority's commitment to empowering Kuwaiti youth. The initiative is designed to encourage innovation and entrepreneurship through collaboration with partners in both the public and private sectors.
Al-Kuraibani highlighted the Authority's focus on creating a supportive environment that enables young people to turn their ideas into promising projects capable of competing in the market. He mentioned that 20 startup projects were showcased by young Kuwaitis who participated in the program, which launched last June and aims to develop their skills and turn their ideas into viable projects.
He emphasized the increasing entrepreneurial spirit among Kuwaiti youth, as evidenced by the broad participation in the event. The projects covered various sectors, including artificial intelligence, financial technology, fashion, and modern technologies. This diversity reflects the new generation's interests and their efforts to devise solutions that benefit the national economy and align with global trends in innovation.
