Ramallah: Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas on Wednesday congratulated Donald Trump on winning a second term as president of the United States. In a message, Abbas expressed his hopes to collaborate with Trump for the advancement of peace and security in the region. He emphasized the continued commitment of the Palestinian people to achieve freedom, self-determination, and the establishment of an independent state in accordance with international law. According to Kuwait News Agency, Abbas conveyed through the official Palestinian news agency, Wafa, his confidence that the United States, under Trump's leadership, would support the legitimate aspirations of the Palestinian people. "We remain adherent to peace and we are confident that the United States under your leadership will support the legitimate aspirations of the Palestinian people," Abbas stated in his message to Trump.
