Kuwait City: Palestinian Ambassador to Kuwait Rami Tahboub stated on Sunday that artistic action has become a significant tool to confront the Israeli occupation and illuminate the realities associated with Palestine's cause.
According to Kuwait News Agency, Tahboub made this statement on the sidelines of the opening of artistic activities focusing on Palestine. He emphasized that these activities aim to keep the Palestinian cause at the forefront and to counter the claims made by the Israeli occupation regarding this issue.
The event will feature movie screenings over three days, with the most prominent show scheduled for Tuesday at the American University Theater. Tahboub highlighted the film "From Ground Zero," directed by Palestinian Rashid Masharawi, which was filmed in Gaza three weeks after the onset of the war. The movie has been nominated for 100 film festivals worldwide.
The activities commenced today with the "Gaza Habibiti" photography exhibition, showcasing work by Palestinian photographers who captured life in Gaza beyond the destruction. The exhibition aims to present inspiring narratives and diverse stories about the Palestinian people, Tahboub noted.
The festival, scheduled to run until Thursday, is organized by the Palestine Embassy in collaboration with the American University, Jump Kuwait, and other organizations.
