North Waziristan: At least 16 militants were killed by Pakistani security forces as they attempted to infiltrate from Afghanistan into Pakistan's northern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) province.
According to Kuwait News Agency, Pakistani troops effectively engaged and thwarted the militants' attempt to infiltrate in the Ghulam Khan Kallay area of the North Waziristan tribal district in KPK. The Pakistan military's media wing, Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), released a statement emphasizing Pakistan's ongoing request for the interim Afghan Government to ensure effective border management.
