Pakistan Army Helicopter Crash Claims Lives of Five Crewmembers

Kuwait city: At least five crewmembers of the Pakistan army died when a MI-17 army helicopter crashed in Pakistan's northern Gilgit-Baltistan (GB) region, as reported by the military.

According to Kuwait News Agency, a press release by Pakistan military's media wing stated that the MI-17 helicopter went down near Hudor village in GB. It was on a routine training mission when it experienced a technical fault, leading to the crash that resulted in the fatalities of all crewmembers on board.

The release emphasized that training missions are regular activities for Army Aviation to maintain operational readiness for tasks ranging from operational support to humanitarian assistance and disaster relief. It reiterated the Pakistan Army's commitment to ensuring readiness in all areas.
