Geneva: Omani Foreign Minister Badr Al-Busaidi announced on Tuesday that there has been "good progress towards identifying common goals and relevant technical issues" in the second round of indirect talks between Iran and the United States.

According to Kuwait News Agency, the announcement was made following the conclusion of the talks, which were mediated by Oman. The foreign minister emphasized that "the parties made serious efforts to define a number of guiding principles for a final deal." He acknowledged the contribution of International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Director General Rafael Grossi, who met with Iran's Foreign Minister ahead of the discussions.
