OIC Condemns Jewish Settlers’ Storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque

Jerusalem: The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) condemned on Tuesday the actions of extreme Jewish settlers who stormed the Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem.

According to Kuwait News Agency, a statement by the OIC emphasized that such recurrent acts were offensive to the Muslim world and a violation of international laws and UN resolutions regarding the status of the Al-Aqsa Mosque.

The OIC reiterated its calls for the United Nations Security Council and the international community to intervene and prevent such incidents against Al-Aqsa. The organization also urged for measures to protect the Palestinian people.

On Monday, hundreds of Jewish settlers entered Al-Aqsa Mosque. The governorate of Jerusalem released a statement saying that 900 illegal settlers and a Knesset member violated the sanctity of the holy Muslim site.
