NSSA, CNSA enhance cooperation

Manama, Dr. Mohammed Ibrahim Al Aseeri, CEO of the National Space Science Agency (NSSA), met with representatives of the Chinese National Space Administration (CNSA). The meeting follows the memorandum of understanding signed during His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s visit to China in May.

The CEO of NSSA emphasised the importance of exchanging expertise and knowledge in the field of space with relevant entities, as it is fundamental to advancing space sciences and applications. This exchange aims to achieve optimal utilisation that supports comprehensive and sustainable development in Bahrain. He highlighted NSSA’s efforts to develop the space sector in Bahrain through strategic regional and international partnerships, praising the existing cooperation with the People’s Republic of China.

This participation involved knowledge and information exchange that enhances Bahrain’s capabilities in the space sector. Both sides discussed several cooperation proposals in areas such as space data analysis, training programmes, and joint projects to achieve their strategic objectives.
