Kuwait City: The Kuwait National Council for Culture Arts and Literature (NCCAL) organized an artistic exhibition on Monday featuring works by Kuwaiti artist Thuraya Al-Baqsami and Canadian artist Reda Dost to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the Kuwait-Canada partnership.

She highlighted that the exhibition illuminates human innovation and showcases art as a bridge connecting the two countries.

The ambassador also recognized Al-Baqsami as an inspiring and pioneering figure in Kuwait's art scene. Exhibition coordinator Sara Khalaf noted the strong diplomatic ties between Kuwait and Canada since the 1970s, explaining that cultural relations are a vital aspect of the collaboration between the two nations.

Khalaf further elaborated that cultural activities and programs between Kuwait and Canada are flourishing, with artistic exhibitions, cultural days, and workshops organized to enhance mutual understanding. Al-Baqsami shared with KUNA that her artworks are inspired by imaginative worlds, featuring female heroines, flying fish, and childhood memories.

Dost added that his portraits and collages focus on human expressions, with each piece reflecting a different human experience.
