Muslim World League Welcomes Global Coalition for Palestinian Financial Sustainability

Kuwait city: The Muslim World League (MWL) welcomed on Sunday the launch of the "Emergency Coalition for the Financial Sustainability of the Palestinian Authority" by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its partners. The partners included Belgium, Denmark, France, Iceland, Ireland, Japan, Norway, Slovenia, Spain, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom.

According to Kuwait News Agency, the statement issued by the MWL's General Secretariat highlighted Sheikh Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa's expression of confidence that the coalition will achieve its goals in safeguarding the peace process and implementing the two-state solution, in accordance with international legitimacy and its relevant resolutions. Dr. Al-Issa, who is the MWL Secretary General and Chairman of the Organization of Muslim Scholars, emphasized the strength and effectiveness of diplomacy in this context.

Dr. Al-Issa remarked on the synergy of initiatives within this political track, underscoring the critical role of Saudi Arabia in preventing the occupation government from achieving its political and military objectives. Instead, he noted that Saudi Arabia transformed events into a historic opportunity to block violence and revive the two-state solution, aiming for comprehensive, lasting peace. He concluded with prayers for the success of Saudi Arabia and its partner states in ending the suffering of the Palestinian people and securing their legitimate rights.
