Munich: The 61st session of the Munich Security Conference, recognized as the world's largest and most significant event of its kind, commenced with the attendance of over 60 heads of state and government. Among the distinguished participants is His Highness the Prime Minister of Kuwait Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah.

According to Kuwait News Agency, the conference serves as a crucial platform for global leaders to discuss pressing international security challenges. The presence of numerous high-ranking officials underscores the importance of the event in shaping global security policies.

In Riyadh, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia expressed approval regarding a recent phone call between US President Donald J. Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin. The conversation between the two leaders took place two days ago and was commended for its diplomatic significance.

Meanwhile, in Moscow, the Russian Foreign Ministry revealed intentions to bolster relations with Damascus. Discussions are ongoing regarding Russia's military presence in Syria, highlighting Moscow's commitment to strengthening its strategic alliances in the region.

In Vienna, the International Atomic Energy Agency reported an explosion at the Chornobyl site. The explosion was detected by the agency's team at the New Safe Confinement, which encases the remains of reactor 4 at the former Chornobyl Nuclear Power Plant in northern Ukraine.

In Islamabad, a tragic incident occurred in the Harnai District of Balochistan province, southwest Pakistan. At least 10 coal mine workers lost their lives, and six others were injured when their vehicle detonated an improvised explosive device.
