MoH blames Mishref stampede on “inaccurate info.”

– Inaccurate information that residents are allowed to get booster shots without prior appointment led to an unusually large number of people arriving at Kuwait Center for Vaccination in Mishref area, the Ministry of Health said in a statement on Tuesday.

Thanks to coordination with the security authorities and volunteers, the situation was under control, and the stampede caused no damage or harm to anyone, according to the statement.

It called on all citizens and residents to take information from its official sources and to commit themselves to the specified time and date in order to preserve the health and safety of all.

Earlier, the Ministry of Interior noted security teams immediately dealt with the overcrowding that occurred at the Vaccination Center, and the situation was under control immediately.
