Ministry of Justice Launches Second Anti-Graft Training Program

Kuwait city: Minister of Justice Nasser Al-Sumait launched the second phase of a training program aimed at enhancing the efficiency of government legal cadres in protecting public funds.

According to Kuwait News Agency, Al-Sumait stated that the program, organized in collaboration with the Kuwait Institute for Judicial and Legal Studies, seeks to improve the ability of national cadres to discover and investigate crimes related to public funds. The program is designed to unify legal and investigation procedures within government agencies, aligning them with the best judicial standards.

The minister highlighted that these initiatives strengthen cooperation between government entities, the judiciary, and regulatory bodies. They also bolster national efforts to safeguard public funds while enabling government agencies to develop good governance and transparency mechanisms.

Minister Al-Sumait noted that the program is a part of broader national efforts to promote integrity and enhance the capabilities of state institutions in public fund protection. Recent official statistics disclosed that 107 cases of public funds mismanagement were identified in the first half of 2025, with 34 of these cases involving government agencies.
