Kuwait city: The Ministry of Interior has reiterated its dedication to implementing progressive development plans aimed at bolstering national security, enhancing sector readiness, and supporting sustained stability across the community in alignment with Kuwait Vision 2035.
According to Kuwait News Agency, Colonel Fahad Al-Essa, director of traffic awareness at the traffic and operations sector, stated that the ministry continues to execute comprehensive strategies designed to reinforce security and stability. These strategies focus on advancing sector capabilities and adopting a preventive, proactive operational framework.
He detailed that the ministry prioritizes infrastructure upgrades, the expansion of smart services, and the strengthening of community partnerships. These efforts are part of a broader goal to build a modern and coherent security system that ensures a safe and sustainable environment for citizens, residents, and investors.
Al-Essa highlighted that the ministry encompasses crucial sectors such as Public Security, Traffic, Residency Affairs, Border and Coastal Security, Criminal Security, Operations, Civil Defense, Firefighting, Maritime Rescue, and Security Information Systems, alongside national rehabilitation and correctional institutions.
He emphasized that coordination among these sectors is facilitated through joint operation rooms and advanced technological platforms. This setup enables real-time information exchange, faster response times, and enhanced field effectiveness across all operational units of the ministry.
In terms of crime prevention, Al-Essa mentioned that the ministry intensifies efforts against organized and cybercrime through specialized units and cooperation with Interpol, as well as regional and international agencies. Continuous development of capabilities and regulatory frameworks is also aligned with rapid digital advancements.
He added that the ministry utilizes artificial intelligence, data analysis, and crime-pattern monitoring to bolster preventive measures. These measures aim to protect society and support early-intervention mechanisms that reduce risks and enhance national safety.
Al-Essa confirmed that the ministry implements integrated emergency-response plans for situations like heavy rainfall, fires, and natural disasters. This includes civil defense coordination, modern surveillance technologies, drone operations, temporary shelters, and community awareness initiatives to promote readiness among citizens and residents.
