Minister of Information Meets Arab Esports Federation Officials to Boost Regional Cooperation

Kuwait city: Minister of Information and Culture and Minister of State for Youth Affairs Abdulrahman Al-Mutairi met with Arab Esports Federation President Prince Faisal bin Bandar and a delegation, including officials from the Kuwait Esports Federation. The meeting underscored Kuwait's commitment to strengthening Gulf cooperation in the esports sector.

According to Kuwait News Agency, the Public Authority for Sport highlighted Kuwait's dedication to supporting initiatives that develop the esports sector, empower national youth talents, and enhance their presence in regional and international events. The Authority has identified the development of esports as a key pillar of its new strategy, which includes expanding cooperation with local, Gulf, and international federations, developing infrastructure, and hosting major global tournaments to position Kuwait as a regional hub for high-level sporting events.

During the meeting, participants praised the Arab Esports Federation's role in organizing and advancing the sport and commended the Saudi Esports Federation's efforts in fostering innovation and technological progress in the sector. Discussions also focused on cooperation in esports infrastructure development, expertise exchange, and organizing joint tournaments and events to support sector growth and meet the aspirations of youth across GCC countries.

This visit is part of ongoing efforts to enhance Gulf collaboration, strengthen ties among national esports federations, and support initiatives that empower youth and advance their digital and creative capabilities.
