Kuwait city: Minister of Social Affairs and Minister of State for Family and Childhood Affairs Dr. Amthal Al-Huwailah engaged in discussions on Thursday with the UN Secretary General's Representative and Resident Coordinator in Kuwait, Ghada Al-Taher, focusing on enhancing strategic cooperation in social and humanitarian fields.
According to Kuwait News Agency, Minister Al-Huwailah highlighted that the meeting covered several areas of mutual interest. These included social development, support for persons with disabilities, and preparations for the upcoming Second Global Summit for Social Development and the 11th meeting of GCC Ministers of Social and Development Affairs. She reiterated Kuwait's dedication to strengthening ties with the United Nations and commended the organization's significant contributions to development and humanitarian initiatives at both regional and international levels.
Dr. Al-Taher expressed her gratitude for Kuwait's active role in humanitarian and social efforts, emphasizing her commitment to sustaining cooperation in the implementation of joint initiatives.
