Rome: Mauritanian Minister of Economic Affairs and Development Abdoullah Ould Souleymane Ould Sheikh Sidia and Director General of the Kuwait Fund for Arab and Economic Affairs (KFAED) Waleed Al-Bahar convened to discuss strengthening development collaboration between their respective entities. Both leaders praised KFAED's significant role in Mauritania's ongoing development efforts. According to Kuwait News Agency, the meeting occurred on the sidelines of the 49th session of the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) Governing Council in Rome. The Mauritanian economic ministry released a statement highlighting the discussions that reviewed the strong relations between the two parties and the substantial contributions of KFAED to Mauritania's development trajectory. The discussions centered on KFAED's involvement in key development projects in Mauritania, particularly in vital sectors such as infrastructure, water, and food security. Al-Bahar expressed KFAED's continued commitment to support ing Mauritania's development programs. He also acknowledged the country's advancements in managing foreign funding and improving economic indicators. The meeting was attended by members of the Mauritanian minister's delegation and several senior officials from KFAED.
