Lufthansa Cancels Multiple Flights Due to Labor Union Strike

Frankfurt: German aviation group "Lufthansa," announced on Wednesday the cancellation of multiple flights, not specifying the number, to and from German airports due to a strike called by two labor unions.

According to Kuwait News Agency, in a statement from its headquarters in Frankfurt, Germany, the group said it expects to return to its normal flight schedule by Friday and urged passengers to contact them so they can transfer their bookings to other airlines.

The statement also noted that Lufthansa intends to minimize the impact of the strike on passengers as much as possible. The strike comes after the pilots' union Vereinigung Cockpit (VC), and the cabin crews' union UFO, called for a one-day walkout over a wage dispute.
