LMRA Executes Extensive Inspection Campaigns Across Bahrain

Manama: The Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA) announced the execution of 995 inspection campaigns and visits from May 3 to 9, leading to the detention of 29 irregular workers and the deportation of 94 violators.

According to Bahrain News Agency, these campaigns also identified multiple violations related to the Labour Market Regulatory Authority and Residency Laws in Bahrain. Legal actions were initiated in response to these infractions. The initiative included 965 inspections of various shops across all governorates and 30 joint inspection campaigns, with specific operations conducted in the Capital, Muharraq, Northern, and Southern Governorates.

The campaigns saw collaboration between several government bodies, including the Ministry of Interior's Nationality, Passports and Residence Affairs, local police directorates, the General Directorate of Traffic, the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority, and the Social Insurance Organisation.

The LMRA emphasized the ongoing coordination with government agencies to enhance inspection efforts across all governorates, aiming to counteract violations that could undermine Bahrain's labour market stability and economic and social security. The authority urged public support in combating illegal labour practices, encouraging the reporting of violations through their website, call center, or the Tawasul system.
