Liverpool: Liverpool Football Club announced Thursday the death of its Portuguese striker, Diogo Jota, in a car accident in the Spanish city of Zamora. The English Premier League club expressed on (X) its deep sorrow over the loss of its player, who died in the accident at the age of 28.
According to Kuwait News Agency, several English clubs, in addition to the English Football Association and the English Premier League, issued separate statements mourning the player and expressing their condolences to Jota’s family and teammates.
Jota joined the English club in 2020 and played 123 matches, scoring 47 goals.
