Tripoli: Libya strongly condemned on Thursday the Israeli occupation attacks on Syrian lands, particularly those targeting the Sweida and Damascus Governorates.
According to Kuwait News Agency, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation described the attacks as a blatant violation of Syria's sovereignty and international laws. The Ministry warned that such aggressive acts would complicate the security and humanitarian situation in the region.
The Ministry reiterated its firm rejection of any attempts to destabilize Syria and urged the international community to fulfill its responsibilities in stopping the occupation's aggression. It emphasized the need for respecting Syria's sovereignty as a member of the United Nations.
In its statement, the Ministry called for an end to all hostile actions against civilians and stressed the importance of a comprehensive political solution under UN Resolution 2254. The resolution aims to restore stability in Syria through a Syrian-led transitional process.
The Ministry reaffirmed Libya's full support for Syria, its territorial integrity, and expressed solidarity with the Syrian people.
