Lebanon Welcomes UAE Decision to Lift Travel Ban

Beirut: The Lebanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants and Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam welcomed the UAE's decision to lift the travel ban for Emirati citizens to Lebanon, Sunday. This development marks a significant step in enhancing the relationship between the two nations.

According to Kuwait News Agency, Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam expressed gratitude for the decision, highlighting it as evidence of the deep relationship between Lebanon and the UAE. He extended thanks and appreciation to the UAE and its President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan for this positive move.

The Lebanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized the importance of the decision, which follows the visit of Lebanese President Joseph Aoun to the UAE last week. The ministry underscored its commitment to strengthening relations with all Arab countries, reflecting the historical ties that have long existed between Lebanon and its Arab counterparts.

The decision to lift the travel ban is set to be implemented starting May 7, signaling a new chapter in bilateral relations between Lebanon and the UAE.
