Lebanon Arrests Three IS Suspects

Beirut: The Lebanese army announced Thursday the apprehension of three suspected members of the so-called Islamic State (IS) group. In a press statement, the army stated that military intelligence agents have carried out several raids resulting in the arrest of three nationals on charges of forming an IS cell.

According to Kuwait News Agency, preliminary investigations unveiled schemes by the suspects to attack the armed forces upon directives from their leaders abroad. Meanwhile, the official National News Agency reported that the Israeli occupation military aircraft have been carrying out a series of raids on Lebanese towns since early today.
