Lebanese Prime Minister Acknowledges Successful Municipal and Mayoral Elections

Beirut: Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam expressed his gratitude to all participants who contributed to the successful execution of the municipal and mayoral elections across the governorates.

According to Kuwait News Agency, Prime Minister Salam, during a visit to the Ministry of Interior, emphasized the government's commitment to conducting the elections on schedule. He remarked on the high level of preparedness by the Ministry of Interior, which played a crucial role in the electoral process. Despite acknowledging some shortcomings, particularly in the North, Salam assured that lessons have been learned, and preparations for next year's parliamentary elections are already underway.

In addition to discussing the elections, Salam highlighted Lebanon's ongoing diplomatic efforts, in cooperation with the United States and France, to urge Israel to cease its aggression and fully withdraw from Lebanese territories.
