Kuwait Minister Advocates for Global Dialogue on Family Issues

Istanbul: Kuwaiti Minister of Social Affairs, Family and Childhood Affairs Dr. Amthal Al-Huwailah emphasized the importance of fostering international discussions on family issues. The minister made the statement during a tour of an exhibition in Istanbul titled "All Happy Families Are Alike," alongside Turkiye's first lady Emine Erdogan and other dignitaries from various countries.

According to Kuwait News Agency, Al-Huwailah commended Turkiye for its leadership in addressing family matters, particularly through its hosting of the recent International Family Forum in Istanbul. The minister expressed gratitude to the Turkish first lady and highlighted the exhibition's focus on family values and their role in promoting humanitarian connections and societal unity.

The two-day event, themed "Safeguarding and Strengthening Family in the Face of Global Challenges," gathered policymakers, experts, and civil society representatives to discuss the changing role of families and the challenges they face today. Organized by Turkiye's Family and Social Services Ministry, the forum is part of the nation's 2025 Year of the Family initiative.

The forum included ministerial sessions and four panel discussions aimed at exchanging knowledge and successful global practices in family protection and enhancement of their social standing.
