Kuwait’s Role in Digital Growth Highlighted by DCO Secretary-General

Kuwait city: Secretary-General of the Digital Cooperation Organization (DCO) Deemah Al-Yahya commended Kuwait's pioneering role and commitment to harnessing technology as a catalyst for sustainable growth. According to Kuwait News Agency, extraordinary talks were held in Cairo where the heads of customs departments from across the Arab region approved the formation of a pan-Arab council for customs affairs. This initiative aims to streamline customs operations and enhance cooperation among the countries in the Arab region. In Abu Dhabi, the UAE reported that the SAFEEN PRISM vessel, part of the Abu Dhabi port group, responded promptly to a distress call from the Magic Seas vessel, which carries the British flag. The vessel was targeted in the Red Sea, resulting in damage to its hull and forcing the crew to abandon it in challenging sea conditions. Meanwhile, in Washington, Texas authorities have reported that the death toll from the catastrophic flooding affecting six counties in Texas has risen to 81. The flooding has caused widespread devastation and continues to impact the affected communities.
